“Capt. Glen, thank you. This is fishing done right. Your passion for the sport shows, and the boat was a dream. They say luck favors the prepared mind, and in this case I almost feel bad for the fish, almost. Of the fish we caught my favorite was the tuna… crank up the grill! We’ll be back. Thank you so much”.

Capt. Glen,
I wanted to write to you and thank you again for the wonderful fishing trip. The boys and I really appreciated your efforts and all you did for us. Your boat and equipment are first class! The Dolphin we caught were a lot of fun. We also enjoyed catching the bottom fish. We really appreicated that you picked us up at the cruise ship and took us out to the fishing grounds. Again, thanks a lot and if we return to St. Thomas we will fish with you again.David Bye
I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon sports fishing with Captain Glen aboard his fishing boat Dogsled last week and I had a great time. Even before I climbed on board I could tell Glen knew what he was doing. He had top of the line fishing gear, his boat was meticulously cleaned and organized, every thing in its place, and on top of that Glen really knows how to catch fish. I caught the biggest fish I’ve ever caught (almost 4 foot long) Wahoo. The boat was great, the fishing was great but the best part was spending an afternoon with Captain Glen, he’s a great guy.

United States Master 100 tonCaptain Glen was a pleasure and made sure we had a great experience. My buddy and I brought our sons to fish on Capt. Glen’s boat and they loved landing a 30lb Wahoo. It was delicious and look forward to fishing with him again. Terrific time!!
Thanks again
Dan NicolosiI just want to say thank you for an incredible trip. You are very professional in your work and keep the boat impeccably maintained. A 25 pound + Mahi Mahi catch made the trip very memorable. Glad I took the trip!

My fiancé and I had the privilege of fishing with Captain Glen Petit on our recent trip to St. Thomas. As a first timer, I was not quite sure what to think of my upcoming maiden voyage! As we arrived at the dock, I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the boat and of the wonderful personality of Captain Glen. From the first step onto the boat, Captain Glen made us feel very comfortable and welcome. He explained everything from safety to the basics of fishing! The ride out was beautiful and everyone was having a great time. Having never fished, I was completely amazed by how much fun we had and was even more amazed at how exciting it was to catch my first fish! All in all, this fishing trip was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to St. Thomas! Thank you so much Captain Glen for everything! We look forward to our next voyage…

Capt Glen, Just a note to tell you I had a wonderful day out on the water with you. Out of all the years of fishing, I’ve never been on as well an organized trip as with Dogsled. It’s apparent that you do your homework on places to go, baits to use and methods of fishing. Your positive attitude along with your knowledge makes for a winning combination. I can and will recommend Dogsled Sportfishing to anyone looking for charter trip.
Thanks, Mark Stutts
I recently spent a successful day offshore fishing with Capt. Glen Petit aboard his fishing machine Dogsled off St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Capt. Glen is a very personable mariner whose professional approach to offshore fishing makes it safe and enjoyable as well as productive.
Dogsled is a stable cat-hulled platform that is particularly well suited to this type of fishing. The boat’s motion is sea-kindly while her expansive cockpit is free of obstructions to distract from her primary mission – fighting and boating fish. With two Yamaha 250hp 4-strokes and a comfortable cruising speed of nearly 30 knots, Glen can easily put you where the action is. One measure of a skipper’s potential is the quality of his tackle. Here, Glen excels, with a nicely maintained arsenal of Penn International V 30’s and 50’s complemented by the latest in spinning tackle. A wide selection of high speed and low speed trolling lures and artificials are supplemented by high quality terminal tackle in pristine condition. Whether these are rigged to outriggers, a downhaul, long lines or flat lines, Glen is ready for whatever is out there. When it comes to finding fish, Dogsled has the latest dual frequency 2-D Furuno Nav-net sounder supplemented by Glen’s sharp eyes and instinct for finding fish, evidenced by my 50lb+ Wahoo. After 41 years of offshore fishing, I am pleased to enthusiastically recommend Capt. Glen Petit and Dogsled to you.Lee Tucker, MD
Master 100T, USCG“I will never forget how stable the Dogsled is, making the tough weather and high seas still fishable. I only had a short window to fish and the Dogsled was stable and comfortable in the 6’+ seas. I hope the weather cooperates for my next trip; but either way, I’m going fishing! Thanks Captain Glen, I will be back to fish with you again soon.”

I met Capt. Glen last year prior to his bringing Dogsled to the Virgin Islands. He was interested in joining the Virgin Islands Game Fishing Club and we attended the weigh in for their annual Dolphin Derby. With his enthusiasm for game fishing and plans to begin a charter business in the USVI, Capt. Glen was immediately invited to join the club.
This year I have had the great experience of fishing from Dogsled on a couple of occasions, a private charter, and fishing on Dogsled for the 2010 Dolphin Derby. DOGSLED is a fabulous fishing vessel. Capt. Glen is very knowledgeable of game fishing and has equipped Dogsled with top of the line equipment.
My two trips on Dogsled could not have been more different. One trip was absolutely smooth as glass all day, and the other was rough seas from early in the morning; however, on both trips we caught fish and had a blast which is a testament to Capt. Glen’s persistence and fishing abilities. From Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, to Black Fin Tuna, my son, his girlfriend, and I could not have asked for a better charter fishing trip…. We even saw a whale!!! Thanks Capt. Glen and we look forward to fishing with you on the Dogsled next year….

My 10 year old son and I had the thrill of fishing with Capt. Glen on Dogsled over the Christmas holiday. My son loves to fish and together we have been on several charters. We had a tremendous and successful experience. Glen’s knowledge and patience was matched by the high quality of his equipment. He especially made by son comfortable and was great in helping him land a nice mahi mahi. The boat was very comfortable, stable and fast. We really could not have asked for a better day, and we have the pictures to prove it.

In January I chartered Captain Glen Petit’s “Dogsled” fishing boat for a trip off St. Thomas. The ride to the fishing grounds at 35 knots was smooth and we had the gear in the water in no time. We caught fighting Mahi Mahi and Glen fillet them with precision. The Dogsled is the cleanest fishing boat I have ever fished from and the gear is first class. We had 8 lines in the water and not a single tangle. Glen is an experienced Captain with great wit and charm. On my most memorable trip with him, we caught a 248 lbs. Mako Shark.
Thanks Capt Glen, It was great fun.

I’ve fished with Capt. Glen many times over the years. His equipment is always impeccably maintained, safety is his number one concern, and he catches fish. Not a bad combination.

It has been my pleasure to fish with Captain Glen Petit for many years. His warm personality and extensive fishing knowledge make the fishing experience not only rewarding but a pleasure. Glen buys only the best equipment and is a stickler about its maintenance. His boat is of perfect design for access to the fish and extremely stable in less than perfect fishing conditions. When you are out catching with Captain Glen it soon becomes apparent that he does this not as a job but for the love of the sport. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Captain Glen, I just wanted to say thank you for an incredible trip to the canyons. I never thought I’d feel comfortable a hundred miles off shore in a thirty three foot center console, but you and “DOGSLED” made me a believer. The cooler full of mahi and tuna was a testimonial to your knowledge and expertise. The fun we had racing with the dolphin on the way home capped it off as one of the most memorable trips ever! Thanks Again,
Pete Sisson
Captain Petit,
Thanks for the trip of a lifetime. Forty miles off the coast of southern cape cod 22 sharks caught and released , a mako shark breaching within 30 yards from the boat what more could be better in a lifetime . One more note the DOGSLED is a fishing platform with 360 degrees of comfort and ease of fishing, that boat was a smart choice for a fishing machine.

Thanks for an epic day – an ideal fishing boat, top notch equipment, combined with your knowledge, skill and enthusiasm made for a fantastic and memorable experience.
I look forward to joining you again soon.

I have been fishing with Capt. Glen Petit, on the Dogsled for several years. I have also had several fishing trips, with many others.
The Dogsled has always been impeccably maintained, by Capt. Glen. All electronics are constantly up-dated to the “state of the art”; the vast selection of fishing equipment is all “top of the line” and perfectly maintained.
Most importantly; the safety equipment is also “state of the art”. Safety is a major consideration of Capt. Glen.
His years of experience and vast knowledge of his art make all guests of the Dogsled feel secure, catch fish and have lots of fun!
I highly recommend that anyone should make the DODSLED with Capt. Glen Petit, their number one consideration, for the fishing experience of a lifetime!

We left the dock around 6:00 am and everything was ready to go. The ride out to Hudson Canyon was incredible. Dogsled was one of the best riding boats that I have ever been on. The ride out was about 3 hours (5 hours on any other boat). Paul and I listened to jazz music while sitting on bean bag chairs and watching the wake. We got to the canyon around 9:00 and started to rig for trolling. Glen’s gear was organized and it wasn’t long before we were fishing. We caught the first albacore in about 35 minutes the bite was slow but we managed to put a few in the boat within the hour. Before we knew it we were eating albacore tuna sushi style. It tastes better out at sea. Once we had our fill with the tuna it was off hunting mahi-mahi. We found some structure and had a great afternoon catching them. We left at 3:00 and got home at 6:00. That was an amazing day and I would love to fish with Captain Glen anytime.
Thanks John Somyk
